Warning ranting ahead!

Not alot got done this week. Comfest placed all home projects on hold. Sunday we were suppose to get cable. I hate time warner and now I completely loath them. The cable man was to be at our house Sunday 10-11. Cool. I waited kept the dogs in the back yard and fought with them to not bark. At 10:15  the time warner guy pulled up. Played on his phone for a few minutes and left, nott bothering to get out of the car. I know beacuse i watched him! Brian called and they said since we didn't confirm we lost our spot. However, automated called said we didnt newd to call and confirm.  You were at the house and too lazy to walk!!!!!!!! I am however glad we got to spend some much needed time together. Thank you lazy time warner guy for forcing us to entertain ourselves.

Won't do that again lol

We were walking our dogs one by one this past week because our second leash broke. The neighbor kids are in love with the boys, maybe because they are one of the few non pits that are walked around the neighborhood. Anyways I digress,  a girl rides her bike up to Lemony and trays to pet him. Lenny freaks and pulls out of his collar and runs down the street. Sullivan of all streets. We go after him and as the cars stop and are honking their horns (thank goodness he's deaf), I wait for Brian to get him. Didn't realize I was standing on the corner. I gentleman with a mustang stopped and continue looked at me, then around to see who was watching, and back at me. It took me a moment to realize what he was doing. I finally got it and stated "that's my dog and husband". He then turned the corner. Lesson learned.

Got gas?

The simplest task is no longer simple when you buy a crack house. We are ready for a hot water heater and quickly approaching appliance time. I called to have the gas turned on to accommodate this. Columbia gas claimed thrift at our address. I now have to prove we purchased the house. Should be easy, however they want a copy of the mortgage. Well we dont have one, I have to find something that will prove we own the house but the only form customer srrvice says is acceptable is a mortgage agreement.  Ughh. Never a dull moment.
On a happy note the front yard is starting to look better.

They stole my POT!

There is a crazy cat lady two houses down. I do not like cats. Most of our family are allergic to them, myself included. If I had my way I'd get rid of them forever. Brian being the voice of reason will not allow this. I did my research and found that cats and mosquitos (Bonus) hate lavender. I planted lavender in plastic pots that were not very expensive since it was the first time I had put out lawn décor. They stole my pots! Granted the lavender the pots contained cost more than the pots, but really people. Next set of plants I put out will be in nice planters and those will be filled with concrete. If they steal them again fine, but they will hurt their back  in the process.

Only $55

Happy Mothers Day.  We now have electric in the basement and downstairs of our house! Thanks to the amazing Randy we also have running water. I no longer have to drive to Home Depot to potty. That is amazing!!!!  With the good always comes the funny...

This week we found a citation that would make every mother proud. While cleaning out the back yard we found a citation for a female soliciting a vice officer. The notice was from 2013, Crack head Harold may be a brilliant entrepreneur.

Coming Soon,  a clean back yard.

F* you Faux Brick

Whoever decided to put faux brick all over our kitchen walls with a tar like paper should be tarred and feathered. POINT BLANK.  We have finally removed all the Faux brick from the kitchen walls and are ready for new walls, flooring and electric. While in the demolition mode we started taking out more random walls and opening up the dining room.

Schedule for  next  week ELECTRICITY IS THE POWER!

Let there be water!

This week has been full of excitement! We now have water!!!! To celebrate the former tenant  decided to kick in the doors of our house. Crack head party of one.  Too bad the cops came,  along with swat (according to the next door neighbor), blocked of the street in front of our house and had him surrounded. This experience has blessed us with the knowledge of his name... Harold. To send our love and appreciation to Crack Head  Harold for breaking into our house I have one word of advice.... My husband has watched Home Alone way too much... Good Luck!

Round One

Once we closed we started to learn more about the previous owners. We went to our new home after closing to find the door open. Someone, we assume the previous tenants, had opened the combination lock and taken the keys to our house. Not a big deal, we already bought new locks. Once we went into the house we noticed they had opened the tiles in the drop ceiling. Secret stash spot. I think so....
One point Taylors, Zero points Drug Dealers.

Day One Closing

Day One.
We closed on our new house on March 14, exactly 163 days after we got married. They say to not start a remodel the first year of your marriage. In true Carrie and Brian style we bought a former Crack House, in a redeveloping area and started a complete remodel.
